After years of setbacks, from island flooding in 2017 and 2019 to pandemic-related delays and parts procurement challenges, the journey to bring this cherished attraction back to life has been one of resilience, dedication, and community spirit.
Last summer, we reached a major milestone. Crews worked hard to rebuild the tracks and bridge, and the restoration of the engines began in earnest. This season, Lil’ Blue is already delighting guests with its familiar whistle and scenic route around the park—and the best part? Lil’ Red is almost ready to join the ride!
That’s right: Lil’ Red will be up and running very soon, completing the beloved duo that has brought joy to generations of park-goers. These iconic trains aren’t just rides—they’re memories in motion, offering a magical way to experience the beauty and charm of Centreville.
